Travel Jobs & How to Make Money While You Travel

Ever had the desire to quit your lame 9 to 5 job, tell your boss to shove it, pack up and start traveling the world?

All of us have had that desire at one point! The thing that stopped you was probably the same thing that stops most people: money.

“How will I pay for my flights, food, lodging, transportation, yada, yada, yada, ” you asked yourself.

Don’t let these concerns bother you too much, because there is an underground, growing group of travelers who are utilizing some simple but hidden techniques to make significant incomes while traveling.

Here’s an overview of how we make money traveling and by landing Travel jobs:

Underground Travel Income Method #1 – Traditional Travel Job - Hold a job that either a) pays for us to travel or b) is located in the place we wish to travel to. This is the lowest paying and most complicated method of all, but is the most commonplace.

Common jobs that pay for travels are for professional speakers, salespeople, package couriers, flight attendants, travel nurses/doctors, conservationists, cruise ship workers, etc.

Travel jobs located in the places we wish to go to can be any of the above, but also are specific to the location we travel to. There are some FUN jobs overseas that are looking for foreign workers!

Underground Travel Income Method #2 – Travel Writing –
Travel writing jobs for magazines are more common than you may imagine. However, there are LOADS of other ways to write as you travel and make money, including blogging, picking up projects from sites like Elance and Guru, and writing travel guides, both online and offline.

Underground Travel Income Method #3 – Selling Affiliate Products –
Using a simple website, you can drive online traffic to a product that will be of interest to your online followers. Don’t be intimidated by this! It can be as easy as using your very own Facebook or Myspace profile. Affiliate products typically pay 50% to 75%, so you can make a very healthy income for selling just a few objects.

Underground Travel Income Method #4 – Filming Your Adventures – If you’ve got the camera out and you’re taking pictures, why not switch it to ‘film’ mode and make money from it? You simply make a video of your destinations using iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, then use your videos to create a customer base!

Underground Travel Income Method #5 – Podcasting – If filming scares you off or intimidates you, you can make an iTunes podcast. It is easier than ever to get listed in iTunes and there’s a HUGE audience of podcast listeners. Simply talk about the places you visit two or three times a week and watch how your following grows… and how your bank account grows!

Underground Travel Income Method # 6 – Ebay – The common misconception about Ebay is that you have to sell a physical product to make money. Here’s the trick: You can set up a fulfillment house to ship your product (or hire your little sister or the neighborhood kid). All you have to do is create your Ebay post from an internet café and collect the money!

Take any one of these six ‘travel job’ methods, and there are hundreds of travelers all over the world making more money than they would at a regular ‘job…’ and they’re living it up at exotic, world-class destinations. Take your pick, and take action on the ideas here!

What do you think of my story so far? (:?
I could feel it all around me. The rain sweetened soil that soaked the soreness out of my bare feet, the gentle ferns that drew the weariness out of my pores. The vibrancy of life seemed to radiate from me like the heat radiates from the sun. I think the animals of the Forest could feel it, too, as they were alive with the variety of chatter and twittering that came only with the first day of summer. A brazen deer strode into my path and stood calmly as I drew my bow, as if personally sacrificing itself for the feast our tribe was planning for today. I thanked the Gods and released the string, the deer collapsing like it was hit by a sudden wave of tiredness and succumbed to slumber. ?The course main for tonight?s feast, I?d say.? I turned with a grin on my face as Orion Northface, Earth Tribe?s best hunter, walked up behind me. His mentoring led me to the skill I have to this day, transforming me from my clumsy ten year old self into the credible marksman I am at seventeen. His large hand came down on my shoulder, his own smile creasing his sun darkened face. ?You think?? I asked him, peering ahead at my kill. ?The Gods willed it so,? he answered, tromping ahead of me to scoop the doe into his arms. He muttered a quiet thanks, face upturned to the heavens, and then threw the creature over his shoulder for easy travel. ?I taught you well, Wolfe.? I nodded in agreement and he turned, the rope full of hooks and plump fish slung on his shoulder swinging out behind him. As he began the journey back home, I eyed the small puncture holes in the fishes? scaly flesh, each one precise and perfectly speared. Orion was greatly respected by the people of the Earth Tribe, as he should be for the role he held in feeding them. His existence in the tribe held him with great power and importance, even the tribe leader bowed for him. I squared my shoulders and took off after Orion, wondering if one day perhaps Earth Tribe?s people would look at me with the same respect.

She didn't wish me a happy birthday, is it because of this story?!?
I'm a girl and I have turned 18 on may 20, a couple years back i met this girl in my school who's at my age.. we became incredibly close and since we had mutual friends it made it easier for us.. one day she confessed that she was falling for me! i was 16 at that time.. i freaked out on her and spent months not talking to her, it was a really rough time .. after that we sort it out somehow it was really awkward at the begging but we went past it.. at least we pretended to. I had a boyfriend at that time but we broke up when i was 17 .. she was always there for me helping me getting through it and inside i've always known that she still have feelings for me.. a couple days later she traveled out of state for a week, and during that time all i ever thought about was her! i came to the point where i couldn't stand my life without her! i didn't even wanted to go to school because she wasn't there, i knew that i was falling for her but i didn't wanna tell her because that would be sooo selfish of me after i rejected her! even after we got back together she was telling my friends that she still and will forever have feelings for me! that's when i knew i wouldn't find a person who will really love like she does. So after she came back i became too nervous around and she noticed it i think, one day we were alone and she was talking about us becoming seniors next year and how our lives is gonna change and all i was thinking about is me wanting to kiss her so bad!! and if i didn't take my chance now i will forever keep thinking "what if" so i kissed her.. and she kissed me back, when we finished we had a weird moment of silence so she got up and joined our friends. i just stayed there in shock from what i just did! the next day i got text from her saying " you are unbelievable, i'm not your rebound " WTH I NEVER THOUGHT OF HER AS A REBOUND!! a week later it was my birthday and she didn't even freaking wish me a happy birthday :/ i was really hurt and i don't think what i did was that bad because i fell for her. Please some help
