These are people you already know starting with relatives, friends, neighbors, religious leaders, business associates and customers, people you buy things from (like insurance, financial services, contractors, etc.). However, you can't turn them off by asking them to find you a job. You need to have a carefully-crafted script that will turn them into career partners.

What do you think about paying for job hunting advice?
A man I know is offering classes in interview skills. He will also perform a MOCK INTERVIEW with me for an hour for $100. He will then report back to me what he thought of my interviewing skills, and then give me feedback on how I could improve.
When I interview for a job, and do not get hired, I never get any feedback on how well I did, so I could be saying the wrong thing. I could be coming off as a light weight or a fool and never know it. I thought maybe the man who does the mock interviews could tell me how others see me.
The man who does the mock interviews is a 25 year Recruiting and Human Resources veteran and has interviewed almost a thousand people.
Would you think this is a good use of my time and money? Would you do this, why or why not?
I ahve asked the places I interviewed at for feedback but they refused.
I can read all there is about the topic of job hunting but still would not know how I come across or get real world experience in a book, but....

Do any of you have ghost hunting advice?
I'm going ghost hunting next week at Lizzie' Borden's Home, The Hawthorne Hotel and many other places. Anyone have any tips that I should keep in mind? And how do you find the ghosts?
i know some people from ghost hunters soo.... and as far as thermal imaging goes those things are expensive!

I'm looking for some good job-hunting advice, for my husband.?
After he applies online or via email to these places, what is the next step. Usually they don't get back to him. Should he call? Should he call multiple people? Should he be persistent? (I see it as persistance and he sees calling as annoyance) What do employers look for besides a good resume and great experience? Also, if we live out of town, are we at a disadvantage because they don't want to pay relocation? Please give me your best advice and personal experience!
