How upgradable is the Ruger Mini-30?
I would like to buy a 7.62x39 rifle at this weekend's gun show (i used to have a pretty nice chinese SKS, that actually had a working removable 30-round mag, but i sold it for what i paid for it, $400) to fill the role of a mid-power semi-auto, and i am thinking maybe the Mini-30 would be a good gun to get. I would leave it as iron-sights (maybe upgrade to fiber optic), but what sort of stocks and magazines are available for this gun? If they made a bullpup stock for this (i think i've seen it) and a dual-drum magazine (think i've seen that too) then i think i could be set. I don't know what other upgrades a person would do, for a muzzle brake or whatnot.
What all is available? Preferably NOT gunbroker.com, but rather a paypal-accepting site that could ship me stocks, mag's, etc.
I live in iowa by the way, and am 22 with a spotless criminal/driving record, for what it's worth.

info on the saiga semi auto shotgun, practical for home defense? is it true remington 870 express rust easy?
Looking at getting a shotgun for home defense. I was wondering is a saiga semi auto practical for home defense? Just looking on gunbroker.com right now and prices are not as bad as i thought i thought this gun would be $800+. Or pump action i was thinking about the benelli nova or supernova tactical. I dont hunt or shoot clay so i dont need a combo one. I benelli is one of the better names for shotguns, any one have one of these would you recommend it?
Also i have read that the remington 870 express is their cheaper gun price range and their quality reflect it. I read it rust easy vs other guns. A guy at my work that is really into bird hunting/competition shooting says i should avoid the 870. Just look for other peoples input on these.
How much does a ghost sight help when your using it in low to no light situations? Any information or suggestions you have would be great. Also any other shotguns i should be looking at? Dont want just a pistol grip i want it to have the full shoulder stock as well.
Sorry one last thing. I am married so when i go to buy this gun i would want my wife to be comfortable with this since she might have to use this if someone breaks in and its just her at home. Do i have to worry about getting denied the sale if at the gun counter when i look at a couple of different shotguns and ask my wife on her opinion? I am buying this gun for myself its not a straw purchase but i want to make sure its not too heavy or awkward for my wife also. Could i get denied?
already have some pistols i am looking for a shotgun so i dont have to worry about over penetration. Dont want to shoot the guy in my house and the bullet go over into my neighbors house.
The 870 i am asking is only about the EXPRESS rusting early
